An international financial services company is seeking a Regional Account Manager to develop new business and build strong relationships with customers, vendors, manufacturers, and other business partners.
The Regional Account Manager will identify and develop new opportunities, understand customers’ financing needs, and manage the sales process through transaction closing. The position is well suited for someone with experience in commercial finance, equipment leasing, vendor finance, or related financial services who enjoys building relationships and developing new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, manufacturers, dealers, and other business partners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking, and industry events.
- Manage the sales process from initial contact through transaction closing.
- Work toward annual new business production goals of approximately $8M–$12M+.
- Develop quarterly sales plans and maintain an active pipeline of opportunities.
- Understand customer needs and present appropriate financing products and solutions.
- Prepare financial and transaction information for larger transactions and coordinate with the Credit Department.
- Monitor market trends, competitive pricing, and financing structures.
- Provide regular sales activity and pipeline updates to management.
- Attend customer meetings, industry conferences, and networking events as appropriate.
- Travel within the assigned market to develop and strengthen business relationships.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in commercial finance, equipment leasing, vendor finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in new business development and building customer or vendor relationships.
- Working knowledge of financing structures, basic credit evaluation, documentation, negotiation, and pricing.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; CRM experience such as Salesforce is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel approximately 20–30%.
