An international firm has opening for an Accounting Associate to support accounting operations in a fast-paced corporate environment in White Plains, NY. This position will be responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including accounts payable, reconciliations, journal entries, invoicing, and month-end closing support. Candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Local candidates are strongly preferred, as the position requires the ability to come into the office as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor and material invoices accurately and timely in the ERP system
- Review and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions via Concur
- Support weekly payment runs and cash receipt processing
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reclassifications, and account reconciliations
- Prepare service fee invoices and support internal financial reporting
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis
- Maintain accurate vendor and employee master data in ERP and Concur systems
- Support accounting reporting requests from management and affiliated entities
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Minimum 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience preferred
- Experience with ERP systems, AP processing, and financial reporting strongly preferred
- Experience using Concur is a plus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
