An international chemical manufacturer is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and continuously enhance its Quality Management System (QMS) across products, suppliers, and external manufacturing partners.
This role is responsible for ensuring quality excellence throughout the supply chain, including supplier quality, contract manufacturing, and toll manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will drive quality improvement initiatives, manage audits and corrective actions, strengthen quality systems, and build effective partnerships with both internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners.
The ideal candidate will bring experience from chemical, specialty materials, plastics, industrial, automotive, or other quality-driven manufacturing environments, along with a strong understanding of supplier quality management, manufacturing quality systems, and external manufacturing oversight.

Key Responsibilities
• Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and company quality standards
• Lead supplier quality and external manufacturing quality programs, including contract and toll manufacturing partners
• Plan, conduct, and manage supplier audits, contract manufacturer audits, and customer audits
• Partner closely with suppliers and external manufacturing organizations to ensure compliance with quality requirements and manufacturing standards
• Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives, corrective actions, and continuous improvement programs
• Analyze quality data, investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Manage customer complaints, quality investigations, and product quality issues
• Develop, maintain, and improve quality procedures, documentation, and training programs
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, procurement, and commercial teams to support business objectives
• Lead, mentor, and develop QA personnel while fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
• Prepare and present quality metrics, audit results, risk assessments, and improvement initiatives to senior management
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of management experience within manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or quality systems leadership
• Experience in chemical, specialty materials, plastics, industrial manufacturing, automotive, medical device, aerospace, or other quality-intensive manufacturing environments
• Experience managing supplier quality, contract manufacturing quality, toll manufacturing quality, or external manufacturing quality programs
• Hands-on experience conducting supplier audits, manufacturing audits, and quality system audits
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
• Experience leading cross-functional quality initiatives and managing quality improvement projects
• Demonstrated people management, coaching, and leadership experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause investigation skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with structured quality methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, CAPA, SPC, MSA, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent quality tools
• Experience with IATF 16949, GMP, ISO 13485, AS9100, or similar quality standards
• Experience working with supplier development, external manufacturing networks, or global manufacturing organizations
• Experience supporting new product introductions, manufacturing transfers, or process validation activities
• Experience working in multinational or matrix organizations
Travel & Work Structure
• Travel up to approximately 15% annually
• Periodic travel to supplier, contract manufacturing, and toll manufacturing sites
