A leading global financial institution is seeking a Bilingual Investment Research Assistant to support its asset management research and business development activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional interested in investment management, manager research, and financial markets.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior professionals, supporting research initiatives, preparing investment-related materials, maintaining internal databases, and coordinating with investment managers and stakeholders in both the U.S. and Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with research and analysis of the asset management industry, investment managers, and investment products.
- Support the preparation of performance reports, market research, investment presentations, and industry analyses.
- Maintain and update internal databases related to investment managers and investment products.
- Prepare charts, reports, and presentation materials for internal and external use.
- Coordinate meetings with investment managers and other industry participants, including scheduling, logistics, and meeting documentation.
- Support senior management with ad hoc research requests and administrative projects.
- Prepare internal approval documentation and assist with travel coordination and expense processing.
- Assist with operational and administrative functions related to manager research activities, including fee administration and technology support.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders in both New York and Tokyo.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related fields preferred.
- Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Interest in financial markets, asset management, and investment research.
