A leading global supplier of nutraceutical ingredients is seeking a motivated and energetic Sales Representative to join its Global Nutrition Team.
The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Japanese and/or Mandarin and possess strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to develop long-term client relationships in a global business environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers in the nutrition, dietary supplement, food ingredient, and related industries
• Identify new business opportunities and support sales growth within assigned territories and accounts
• Communicate with domestic and international clients regarding product inquiries, quotations, samples, and technical information
• Coordinate with internal teams to support customer requests and ensure timely follow-up
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities using CRM systems
• Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive activities, and potential business opportunities
• Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings
• Prepare sales reports, customer visit summaries, and pipeline updates
• Support the introduction and promotion of specialty nutraceutical and functional ingredient products
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Nutrition, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Health Sciences, Business, Marketing, International Business, or a related field
• 0-4 years of sales, business development, customer service, or account management experience
• Recent graduates with a strong interest in nutrition, science, or sales are encouraged to apply
• Japanese and/or Mandarin language skills strongly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally
Preferred Qualifications
• Background or coursework in nutrition, dietary supplements, food ingredients, biology, chemistry, or related scientific disciplines
• Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce
• Previous experience in nutritional ingredients, food ingredients, life sciences, healthcare, or related industries
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
