International Energy company is seeking a Senior Development Engineer who will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewable energy group through the diligence and early engineering work of new project opportunities. This role involves critical assessment of engineering documents, active participation in the tendering processes, and effective communication with third-party engineering entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of greenfield development opportunities to evaluate potential technical risks and issues.
- Assist in drafting and responding to queries related to technical documents involving developers, financial institutions, and contractors.
- Prepare and analyze technical documents for project RFP responses.
- Evaluate proposals from equipment suppliers and contractors to ensure optimal selection based on technical specifications, contract terms, and cost.
- Perform engineering analyses for necessary construction modifications and oversee design changes.
- Review and verify design documentation for various renewable projects such as Utility Scale Solar PV, Battery Storage, and Wind.
- Actively participate in EPC meetings, providing crucial feedback to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Conduct technical evaluations of electrical systems to ensure reliability and adhere to quality standards.
- Manage project schedules and budgets, estimating costs and adjusting plans to optimize resources.
- Regularly update project stakeholders on site progress through detailed reports.
Travel Requirements: Up to 20%
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Experience in construction site operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with IT peripheral hardware.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
- Experience in Quality Assurance is highly desirable.
