The Senior Account Manager will lead commercial activities for an innovative life science platform technology focused on advanced cell culture applications. This position is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and identifying new business opportunities across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, contract research, and academic sectors in North America. The role also collaborates cross-functionally with marketing, technical service, and R&D teams, while contributing to strategic planning and revenue growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management

Execute sales strategies targeting life science markets including pharma, biotech, CROs, and academia.

Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts, delivering technical and commercial support.

Conduct regular customer outreach to understand needs, ensure satisfaction, and resolve issues.

Identify and engage with key stakeholders and decision-makers to build long-term client relationships.

Track and manage sales performance, forecasts, and account activities using CRM tools.

Provide management with regular updates on customer activities, market feedback, and sales KPIs.
Business Development

Identify new commercial opportunities through both external prospecting and internal collaboration.

Conduct market research and analyze competitive positioning to guide sales approach.

Deliver presentations and proposals to potential customers, tailoring value propositions as needed.

Collaborate with internal teams to validate product fit and support minor product adaptations or new development requests.

Support onboarding and contract execution, including coordination of pricing, delivery terms, and required documentation.

Manage agreements such as NDAs, purchase contracts, and service arrangements.
Strategic Marketing & Market Intelligence

Monitor industry trends and collect customer feedback to support product positioning and roadmap decisions.

Participate in industry conferences, exhibitions, and scientific meetings to promote brand visibility.

Provide input to internal teams regarding product enhancements and unmet customer needs.
Financial & Regulatory Compliance

Analyze segment profitability and contribute to sales planning and revenue forecasts.

Ensure compliance with relevant trade practices, pricing regulations, and internal audit controls.

Maintain awareness of applicable regulations including FDA, EPA, DOT, OSHA, and industry-specific standards.

Coordinate proper documentation for shipments, product usage, and customer compliance requests.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.

5–10 years of experience in life science sales, technical account management, or commercial development.

Familiarity with cell culture workflows, organoids, spheroids, or advanced in vitro technologies.

Demonstrated success in B2B sales within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or academic research sectors.

Strong presentation, communication, and CRM/data management skills.

Willingness to travel up to 40% as required.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with laboratory consumables, assay systems, or microplate-based technologies.
