An established U.S.-based institutional asset management platform overseeing long-term insurance capital across public markets. The firm emphasizes disciplined fundamental research, thoughtful risk management, and collaborative decision-making within a true long-horizon investment framework.
Position Overview
This role is designed for an investment professional seeking to deepen their expertise in long-only U.S. equity investing within a stable institutional capital base. The position offers meaningful exposure to portfolio managers and investment committee discussions, allowing research to directly influence long-term capital allocation decisions.
Unlike highly benchmark-driven environments, this platform enables analysts to develop sector depth, build conviction over time, and contribute to a disciplined investment process focused on fundamental value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Fundamental Equity Research
- Conduct in-depth research on U.S. listed companies, evaluating strategy, financial quality, competitive positioning, and management effectiveness
- Build and maintain robust financial models (three-statement models, DCF, comparables, scenario analysis)
- Develop and articulate long-term investment theses supported by disciplined valuation frameworks
- Monitor earnings, industry developments, and structural sector trends
Investment Committee & Portfolio Support
- Prepare and present investment materials for committee discussions
- Clearly articulate key assumptions, valuation sensitivities, and downside risks
- Contribute to portfolio reviews and performance analysis
Collaborative & Cross-Functional Engagement
- Work closely with portfolio managers, risk teams, and senior stakeholders
- Support trade-related processes and portfolio implementation
- Assist with investor reporting and cross-border coordination
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3–8 years of experience in equity research or long-only asset management
- Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise
- Demonstrated interest in building long-term sector specialization
- Ability to communicate investment views clearly and thoughtfully
- CFA or progress toward CFA preferred
This role is best suited for professionals seeking to build depth within a disciplined long-term investment framework rather than short-term trading-oriented environments.
