Fixed Income Credit Analyst (Assistant Vice President)

A global asset management firm with strong institutional backing is seeking a Fixed Income Credit Analyst (Assistant Vice President) to join its New York investment team.

This role focuses on corporate credit research and investment idea generation across investment-grade and high-yield markets, working closely with portfolio managers and collaborating with global teams.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to investment decisions and engage with an international research platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fundamental credit analysis on corporate issuers, including detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis
  • Identify and recommend investment opportunities in investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds
  • Prepare in-depth company reports, including earnings analysis, projections, and investment recommendations
  • Present research and investment ideas to portfolio managers and investment committees
  • Monitor industry developments and market conditions to generate new investment insights
  • Collaborate with global research teams, including colleagues in Tokyo, sharing analysis and market intelligence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in credit analysis or fixed income investing (buy-side or sell-side)
  • Strong financial modeling and credit analysis skills
  • Experience with Bloomberg and financial research tools
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present investment ideas clearly
  • MBA and/or CFA preferred
