A global technology and investment firm with a strong presence in Japan and North America, is seeking a Corporate Planning Manager to support senior leadership in strategic planning, financial oversight, and cross-border project coordination. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and communication skills, along with the cultural agility to operate effectively in a bilingual, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strategic planning initiatives in coordination with U.S. and Japan teams.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis across business units.
- Prepare internal reports, board-level materials, and strategic presentations for global leadership.
- Collaborate with investment, business development, and technology teams to support new initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between U.S. and Japan offices, facilitating smooth communication and reporting.
- Provide language support through the translation of key documents and interpretation in meetings.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business strategy.
- Contribute to corporate governance, compliance, and process improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate strategy, FP&A, business planning, or consulting.
- Bilingual in English and Japanese, with strong writing and presentation skills in both languages.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across time zones and cultural contexts.
- Experience in financial technology, digital platforms, or startup investment environments is highly valued.
