Senior Manager (Tax Accountant) – International Energy Company

International Energy Company is seeking a Senior  Manager/Tax Accountant responsible for accounting, tax and audit aspects of constructing and operating large solar project and will support the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close, as well as interacting with internal and external parties, and filing variety of tax for the projects Need to be familiar with a variety of accounting concepts, practices and procedures including PPA, HLBV and Hedge accounting. The Senior Manager is responsible for leading audit process by collaborating with auditors and related parties. The Senior Manager also supports new project development by utilizing its accounting and tax expertise. If required, the Senior Manager could oversee third parties pertaining to the solar project and support relationship management with stakeholders.

Review and complete monthly, quarterly (unaudited) and annual audited financial statements of project entities about items such as HLBV, Hedge accounting, intercompany transaction, PPA, impairment and so on by collaborating with asset management service provider, other third parties pertaining to the solar project, and internal accounting department

  • Assist to budgets by collaborating with asset management service provider and other third parties pertaining to the solar project, then manage forecast and actual number, report the variance and reasons
  • Review the cash flow model and update it about accounting and tax matters
  • File franchise tax, property tax, rollback tax and sales tax for the solar project by communicating with advisor
  • Prepare annual tax return
  • Prepare and submit a report as stipulated in the tax abatement contract
  • Communicate with and resolve as appropriate tax notices with state and local taxing authorities in a timely manner
  • Ensure accounting and tax obligations are met by tracking key milestones within the major agreements, such as tax equity investors’ contract
  • Communicate with tax equity investors and financial adviser, and appraisal about accounting and tax matters
  • Support the annual audit process, which includes compiling financial statements and footnote schedules, providing data requests to external auditors, and providing substantial support for audit selections
  • Interface with site operating personnel, corporate personnel, tax equity investors, external auditors, vendors and consultants as required
  • Support the company to develop new project by providing accounting, tax and audit expertise



  • Five (5) + years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation
  • CPA
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and database development and management
  • Positive, self-motivated and can-do personality – growth mindset preferred
  • Problem-solving skills and close attention to detail
  • Ability to perform duties in a collaborative working environment and to develop meaningful relationships
