Bilingual Japanese IT Leader/Manager – International manufacturing company

An international manufacturing company is seeking an IT Leader/Manager who will be leading IT operations of US office collaborating with IT team in Head office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages IT assets (hardware, software, network) and continuous operations while planning and implementing future IT strategies and measures.
  • Plan, then establish & lead Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) capability; implement Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
  • Lead the value-added IT council comprised of IT leaders from each Group Company in North America, further building a sense of teamwork & collaboration while achieving new benefits for the company and its group companies.
  • Aligns with Head Office to ensure the company and its group companies have appropriate policies, compliance programs, infrastructure, and processes in place.
  • Support & Coordinate Head Office in Digital Transformation (DX) Global Project to ensure all the company and its group companies successfully complete the transformation within the (future) project timelines.
  • Maintains organization’s effectiveness & efficiency by defining & delivering IT & cyber security strategic plans (annual & mid-term / 3-year period).
  • Identify, propose & realize IT optimization and synergy opportunities across the company and its group companies.
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and backup procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Proactively identifies potential risks & problems and actively researches new trends, tools & processes for continuous improvement.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Actively engages and communicates with managers & staff both for IT-related work and actively participates in corporate culture & teambuilding initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. 10+ years’ experience in information technology management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network architecture, client/server technology, and cyber security strategic management is required. Strong SAP ERP experience is preferred. CSIRT & SOC experience is also preferred.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in leadership, strategic planning, resource allocation and coordination, vendor management, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of network architecture, on-premises infrastructure & cloud capabilities, hardware & software, comprehensive cyber security. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
