International Company is seeking a dedicated and organized HR Assistant with Japanese language skills. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to the HR department, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Payroll Administration:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure accurate calculation and deduction of taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
- Manage employee time and attendance records, including time sheet checks and approvals.
- Process new hires, terminations, and salary changes.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll.
2)Benefits Administration:
- Assist with open enrollment and annual benefits renewal processes.
- Process employee benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve claims and issues.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits.
3) Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, and performance reviews.
- File and organize employee documents.
4) General HR/Administrative Tasks:
- Assist with HR functions (onboarding, offboarding, record-keeping), administrative tasks (office supplies, mail, scheduling, events), and basic accounting entries.
- Order and maintain company cell phones for employees.
- Order business cards for new hires and existing employees.
- Provide support to employees with inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2-3 years of experience in administrative roles, HR, payroll, accounting related exp. a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
