Logistics & Inventory Coordinator

International Manufacturing Firm is seeking a Logistics & Inventory Coordinator.

Responsibilities

1.ISF filing

  • Submit shipping documents to Customs Broker
  • Update container tracking and follow up with Forwarders as needed.
  • Process receiving and posting purchase invoices within 2 days of the delivery date.

2.Shipping Logistics – Other

  • Obtain freight quotes for arrival / transfer movements
  • Track the movement of containers from Vendor to MII warehouse / customer
  • Coordinate pick up / delivery with truckers and schedule delivery appointments
  • Obtain POD to confirm container delivery is complete

3. Customer Container Direct Receipt

  • Reconcile customer PO against shipping documents, prepare arrival notice and submit to the customer prior to delivery
  • Coordinate and confirm delivery is completed within specified free time
  • Obtain POD from customer and prepare purchase receipt for supervisor’s approval and final posting
  • Prepare and post the final invoice to the customer

4.Vendor Purchase Arrival Entries to Warehouse

  • Compile arrival notices from Vendors for each warehouse / customer direct delivery
  • Review and compare against MII PO for accuracy
  • Review and compare shipping documents against receipt notices
  • Receive the final product at each warehouse
  • Book appropriate payable to the Vendor

5.Warehouse Transfers

  • Compile shipping documents form dispatching location
  • Track the shipment for ETA
  • Prepare and send arrival notice to receiving location
  • Review and compare the receipt against outbound documents
  • Post final inventory movement out and to the correct locations

6. Reclassification

  • Review of lot reclassification requests from CS
  • Check and confirm warehouse lot vs MII lot in Navision
  • Prepare no value journal entry for Supervisor review
  • Obtain signed approval, post adjustment
  • Communicate back to CS with adjustment posting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in logistics which includes working with warehouse associates, shippers, and coordinating shipment releases from US ports for destination delivery
  • Experience with related document handling
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook
  • Strong communications skills/interpersonal skill

Operations Specialist

International company is seeking an Operations Specialist.

Responsibilities:

Logistics Arrangement

  • Schedule and coordinate transportation plan such as vessels and barges including overseas transactions.(Railcars are arranged by customer service team.) (Placing orders, invoicing etc are done by customer service team.)
  • Monitor and control inventory in US at safe level by transportation arrangement and collecting forecast of sales volume.
  • Possess ability to deal with issues such as delay, demurrage, breakage, contamination and so on by the both internal and external communication with vendors, customers and suppliers.
  • Maintain good verbal and written communication with vendors to be able to solve any operational issues.

Logistics Analysis and Cost Optimization

  • Understand the cost structure and liabilities of logistics Agreement/Contract with terminal, vessel, barge, railcar and railroad.
  • Understand the logistics-related components of the sales and purchase contracts.
  • Continuous improvement of logistics cost by optimizing logistics such as terminal, vessel, barge and railcar.
  • Deep working knowledge of structure of sales/purchase price and logistics cost and skills to calculate, analyze an impact on MGCA’s profit/loss and recommend optimization of logistics.
  • Prepare database of Logistics Agreement/Contract (Terminal, Barge, Railcars, Railroad and Throughput) with vendors and finalize it through strategic negotiation with vendors.

Sales Support

  • Strong interactive skills to Provide cost analysis upon request for assisting marketing team.
  • Maintain good communication with customers to be able to understand and anticipate customers’ needs, problems for logistics.
  • Solve any issues with customers related to operations and logistics like demurrage, contamination and so on.
  • Provide advice for logistics related parts of Sales Agreement/Contract when sales members are checking the draft and after Agreement/Contract is signed.

Business trip

  • Organize meeting and visit vendors with sales team. (5 days or more per month on average. Occasional weekend travel.)
  • Use meeting time efficiently by preparing topics to discuss, inquiries to ask and presentation (if necessary) in advance and follow the To-Do lists after meeting.
  • Occasional attendance to the global meeting held in Japan.

Routine work

  • Internal report in the both verbal and written. (Business trip report, monthly report, Sales forecast, operational update etc.)
  • Regulation management. (FDA, TSCA etc.)
  • Supporting customer service members for monthly account closing.
  • Other related tasks.

 

Requirements:

  • Mindset required for being a good team player: having a positive attitude for open discussion, sharing findings and suggestions, and understanding the marketing strategy and business tactics.

  • Three or more years of logistics experience preferably in the chemical industry to manage logistics of chemical products in US (terminal, chemical tanker, barge, railcar and truck) and arrange logistics in US and overseas.
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms 2020.

Import Export Supervisor/Manager

An international Trading company is seeking a Supervisor/Manager for import/export shipment operations for food/nutritional products ingredients.

Inventory Control Analyst

International manufacturing company is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst.

1.Inventory Control

  • Conduct month-end inventory reconciliations to meet monthly closing schedule and report all adjustments summary to Finance and Accounting.
  • Research, document and resolve inventory discrepancies. (over/under, damage, hold, donation, etc.) using all available resources.
  • Monitor inventory related activities on weekly basis and accountable for all the item journal adjustments including auto-adjustments created by ERP system.
  • Document all adjustments and report monthly.
  • Manage accuracy of inventory status such as Available, Hold, Damaged or Expired are matching between 3PLs and ERP.
  • Lead the inventory disposal process and execution.
  • Monthly Reporting of Inventory Reserve (Write offs and short-dated products) of all US warehouses and Co-packers in US and Asia.
  • Ensure that product is rotated on the FEFO basis in all warehouses.
  • Establish new or additional procedure to improve inventory management if necessary.

2. Data Management

  • Work with 3PL’s to effectively implement process or system improvement including EDI/Inventory Sync.
  • Work directly with internal and external technical resources to trouble-shoot issues related to Inventory.
  • Lead strategic planning and implementations of operational excellence and continuous improvements when necessary.
  • Own data accuracy for each item card within ERP, GS1 GDSN and 3PLs.
  • Own master inventory data to be sent to each 3PL when new SKUs are established or being imported for the first time.
  • Asist team members for BC/technical related Inventory issues.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher degree
  • Minimum of five years of inventory management
  • Advanced Expertise using Excel and data analysis
  • 1 World Sync/GDSN (Global data Synchronization) experience is a plus
  • Understand all aspects of inventory operations that impact inventory accuracy
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Business Central or NetSuite is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods

  • Process, release and review all orders on daily basis. Confirm all PO’s back to customers, noting ship point, ship date and any backorders.
  • Follow up with warehouses, and trucking companies on all orders and communicate necessary information to customer and/or Sales Staff.
  • Maintain daily communications with external customers to ensure prompt response to inquiries or quick resolution to any issues
  • Request freight quotes for truckload and volume shipment
  • Utilize order management screen for all invoicing.
  • Save all customer PO’s and bill of ladings on Sharepoint
