Senior Security Systems Administrator
International Firm is seeking a Senior Security Systems Administrator;
Essential Functions:
- Facilitates and manages the development, modification, and operation of security protocols including intrusion detection and prevention systems to protect the organizations information from breach or loss.
- Performs risk assessments, audits, and tests to identify technical weaknesses and provides recommended solutions to remediate any weaknesses.
- Stays abreast of security best practices, threats, and technologies, tools and techniques, and fosters group collaboration with team members by providing technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and support.
- Systems Administration – Administer security focused information systems such as vulnerability management, privileged access management, data loss prevention, and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management).
- Perform in-depth network security analysis and conducts preliminary incident response, event analysis and threat intelligence.
- Create a climate and convey a sense of urgency to drive security risk remediation, often with aggressive deadlines.
- Periodically briefs senior management on status of security systems, protocols, and administrative activities.
- Must regularly engage and collaborate with the firm, and firm’s HQ, and other Regional HQ to support, share, and develop plans that drive the adoption of various technologies and processes that support our corporate Vision 2030 initiatives.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient, or able to gain proficiency with, a broad array of security software applications, tools, and techniques.
- Strong understanding of computer-related security systems including firewalls, encryption, and password protection, authentication, and Zero Trust principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- Strong depth and breadth of knowledge of the Cyber landscape
- A client-focused approach as demonstrated by the ability to implement Information Security/Networking best practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of globally recognized Security Frameworks / Information Security Management Systems (NIST SP 800-53, ISO27001, SOX, PCI, ITAR
- Solid understanding of the Microsoft 365, Defender, Intune, Purview, etc. solutions
- Some previous team leadership and collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management, or equivalent with 5-7 years of experience in an IT administrator role
