Chemical Sales Representative

International chemical manufacturing company is seeking a Sales Representative to promote their Methanol products for the Americas’ market.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing

  • Maintain good communication with customers to get customer’s needs, forecast, problems or new projects.
  • Possess ability to solve any issues with customers like demurrage, contamination and so on.
  • Strong negotiation skills for sales and purchase conditions of spot or contract business.
  • Find and develop new customers in accordance with global business strategy.
  • Analyze the sales price, purchase price and logistics cost to utilize them effectively for decision making.
  • Prepare Sales Agreement/Contract and NDA and finalize it through discussion with customers.

Sales & Marketing Analysis

  • Information gathering skills of the background of any price changes or stability.
  • Discuss with customers and vendors about market prices, situation of existing plants in industries, future projects that affect methanol price.
  • Contribute to building a global or US/EU strategy with future-oriented mind.

Logistics

  • Manage Inventories, barges and railcars in US.
  • Solve any issues with vendors like demurrage, brokerage, contamination and so on.

Profit and Loss Analysis

  • Calculate sales price, purchase price and logistics cost.
  • Analyze the sales price, purchase price and logistics cost to utilize them effectively for decision making.

 

Requirement

  • Greater than 5 years of sale and marketing experience in Chemical industry.
  • Working knowledge of INCO TERMS.
  • A bachelor of Engineering, science, technical, or business degree.
  • Solid computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong desire to learn and quickly assume the responsibility of the position.
  • Proactive mind and attitude of problem discovery and solving.
  • Open to business travel
