Bilingual Japanese Information Technology Manager/Senior Manager

International Firm is seeking an Information Technology Manager/Senior Manager to plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects and security measures. Establish, lead and guide the work of the IT council of North America subsidiaries. Serve as liaison between headquarters in Japan, regional head office, and subsidiary companies. Align with headquarters in Japan to ensure the company and all subsidiaries have appropriate policies and compliance programs in place.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages company’s network, current operations, future strategies and measures.
  • Researches and implements technological strategic solutions.
  • Establishes and leads the work of the IT council of North America subsidiaries
  • Aligns with headquarters in Japan to ensure regional head office and all subsidiaries have appropriate policies and compliance programs in place.
  • Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Identifies problems.
  • Evaluates trends.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Qualifications

  • Administration and Management – Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Japanese Language – business level Japanese
  • Computers and Electronics – Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in information technology management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology.
  • ERP experience, SAP preferred.
